Hon Hai, Intel Form Strategic Partnership on AI Racks and Edge AI Solutions
As demand grows for AI inference and agentic AI workloads, data-center competition is expanding beyond individual chips to racks, cooling, interconnects and software integration. Intel brings processors, silicon photonics and a software ecosystem, while Hon Hai has global manufacturing, systems integration and deployment capabilities. The partnership will test whether the companies can extend their AI infrastructure into smart manufacturing, automotive and robotics markets.
Hon Hai and Intel announced a strategic partnership on June 4, 2026, spanning three areas: AI racks, Edge AI and Physical AI. They did not disclose an investment or transaction value. The companies will develop Intel Xeon-based racks and accelerator architectures, advance high-speed interconnects, liquid cooling, monitoring and data-center expansion, and explore custom ASICs, SoCs and robotics platforms.
