Innolux Elevates Cybersecurity to Core Corporate Governance
Innolux is repositioning cybersecurity from a technical function and cost center into a core element of corporate governance, operational resilience and enterprise risk management. The Taiwanese display-panel maker is using the ISO 27014 governance framework to separate cybersecurity responsibilities into technical, management and governance layers. The approach is intended to give senior leaders clearer oversight while turning cyber resilience into measurable business value and a potential competitive advantage.
In 2025, Innolux made its cybersecurity department independent and placed it directly under the chief executive officer, while establishing a chief information security officer, or CISO, to strengthen accountability. The company recently outlined the overhaul at the Taiwan Cybersecurity Conference, describing a shift beyond implementing defensive controls toward integrating cyber risk into corporate decision-making. The restructuring marks a broader effort to align security priorities with business continuity and long-term strategy.
