TDCC Launches eGift to Digitalize Shareholder Meetings

1 reports · First detected 2026-03-25 · Last active 2026-03-25

Taiwan's annual shareholder-meeting season runs from April through June. Shareholder gifts have traditionally relied on in-person collection and physical distribution, often forcing investors to travel and wait in line. Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation launched eGift to connect electronic voting with a digital redemption process, helping issuers reduce staffing and delivery costs while advancing ESG and financial-inclusion goals.

TDCC announced the formal launch of eGift on March 23, 2026. Shareholders who complete electronic voting and meet the shareholding requirements can redeem gifts through the TDCC ePASSBOOK or a securities firm's app. The initial rollout connects five participating companies: 7-ELEVEN, FamilyMart, Taiwan High Speed Rail, LINE Pay and Taroko. TDCC also launched a prize draw worth more than NT$13 million in total.
