Kraken Lists Pi Network’s PI Token, Fueling a Surge of More Than 30%

3 reports · First detected 2026-03-13 · Last active 2026-03-13

Pi Network has amassed a large user base through its mobile participation model, with PI serving as its native token. Access to major exchanges is critical to the token’s liquidity, price discovery and the project’s credibility. Market assessments remain divided, however. Bybit previously cited warnings from Chinese police about associated fraud risks when it declined to list PI.

After Kraken recently announced that it had formally listed PI, the token’s intraday gain briefly exceeded 30% in early Asian trading as volume also surged, quickly putting it in the market spotlight. The listing gives PI an additional global trading venue, but reports did not provide the exact date of Kraken’s announcement, the token’s starting price or trading value. Investors still need to be alert to short-term volatility and controversy surrounding the project.
