WealthVector Launches White-Label Custody Platform After FCA Authorisation
WealthVector was founded by former Third Financial chief executive Ian Partington and executive director Edward Barroll Brown to modernise infrastructure used by UK wealth managers and financial advisers. Operating as a Model B custodian, it provides custody, dealing and processing through a white-label platform clients can offer under their own brands. The venture is targeting a market Partington says still relies heavily on systems designed about two decades ago.
The company applied to the Financial Conduct Authority in November 2025, received authorisation on July 3, 2026, and announced the platform launch on July 28. WealthVector can now begin onboarding wealth managers and advisers after building the system from scratch over roughly 12 months. It is keeping AI out of the core custody engine, where client-money processes must be deterministic and auditable, while exploring locally deployed AI agents for surrounding operational tasks to protect privacy and sensitive financial data.
