Google is expanding Search for the U.S. football season, bringing information typically spread across broadcasts, score services and fantasy platforms into a single mobile experience. The update is significant because it moves Search beyond basic scores and schedules, using generative AI to interpret live action while giving fans access to deeper statistics and their personal fantasy results without leaving the results page.

The new Live Game Feed combines play-by-play updates, key highlights and AI-powered insights during NFL games. Users can also connect a fantasy account to follow relevant player performances alongside the live contest. Google said the upgraded football experience has begun rolling out on mobile devices in the United States for the current season, but it did not announce a timetable for availability in other markets.
