Miden to Launch Privacy Stablecoin USDCx With Mainnet
Miden is a zero-knowledge blockchain designed to keep transaction execution and account data on users’ devices, limiting the exposure of balances and counterparties common on public ledgers. USDCx would bring dollar-denominated liquidity into that privacy-focused architecture. Its selective-disclosure features are intended to let businesses and individuals preserve confidentiality while still providing specified transaction information to auditors, financial institutions or regulators when required.
Miden said on Aug. 12, 2026, that USDCx will debut alongside its mainnet, though it did not provide a specific launch date. Each USDCx will be backed 1:1 by USDC held through Circle’s xReserve infrastructure. Transfers will be private by default, while users can disclose selected details for compliance purposes, positioning the token for payments, treasury operations and other transactions where public visibility of amounts or counterparties may be undesirable.
