Canton Network Developer Digital Asset Seeks $300 Million at $2 Billion Valuation
Digital Asset’s Canton Network enables financial institutions to issue and trade tokenized assets such as bonds and loans on a shared ledger while preserving privacy, compliance and interoperability. On December 17, 2025, the company and DTCC announced a partnership to tokenize assets held in DTC custody, underscoring its push into the core of Wall Street’s financial infrastructure.
On May 11, 2026, Digital Asset was reported to be seeking $300 million at a valuation of about $2 billion in a round led by a16z Crypto. The company formally announced on June 11 that it had raised $355 million, exceeding its original target. Participants included Apollo Funds, HSBC and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
