Sino-American Silicon Group Brings AI, STEM Training to Hsinchu Students

The Pioneer Seedling Program uses corporate and academic resources to narrow gaps in access to science education in Taiwan. Sino-American Silicon Products, GlobalWafers and Sustainable Sunrise bring expertise in semiconductor wafers and renewable energy, while IC Broadcasting and Hsuan Chuang University provide media, teaching and campus support. The partnership converts industry knowledge into hands-on STEM content for elementary-school students, extending the technology sector’s talent-development efforts to younger learners and communities with fewer educational resources.

On July 23, 2026, the three companies said they held a two-day, one-night science camp at Hsuan Chuang University in Hsinchu for 52 local elementary-school students, marking Sino-American Silicon Products’ third year in the program. Activities included AI-enabled paper airplanes, augmented- and virtual-reality experiences, drone operation, cyanotype printing and laser cutting. The camp also screened the AI-themed film Science Girl and offered an ESG renewable-energy class led by group employees, linking climate change with daily power use. The organizers did not disclose the program’s cost.
