2 reports · First detected 2026-06-30 · Last active 2026-06-30

On November 18, 2025, Microsoft, NVIDIA and Anthropic announced a strategic partnership under which Anthropic committed to buying $30 billion in Azure compute capacity, with an option to contract for up to an additional 1 GW. NVIDIA and Microsoft, meanwhile, planned to invest up to $10 billion and $5 billion, respectively. The partnership is designed to bring Claude into enterprises’ existing Azure governance, billing and networking environments.

On June 29, 2026, Claude became generally available in Microsoft Foundry. Anthropic operates inference in Azure’s U.S. data regions using NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 Blackwell Ultra infrastructure. Enterprises can retain Azure authentication, billing and governance while building autonomous and domain-specific AI agents and moving models from testing into production.
