AISO Alliance Targets Japan’s Sovereign AI Market

1 reports · First detected 2026-06-12 · Last active 2026-06-12

Sovereign AI keeps models, data and computing infrastructure within an organization’s own or controlled environment, reducing reliance on public clouds while addressing data residency, regulatory and cybersecurity requirements. That approach is gaining importance in Japan’s finance, manufacturing and public sectors, where sensitive information is tightly governed. IDC forecasts Japan’s AI spending will exceed 6.8897 trillion yen by 2029, expanding at a compound annual rate of 36%.

On June 12, 2026, KDAN joined AISO founding partners PHISON Electronics and TPIsoftware in launching the alliance’s first overseas expansion. KDAN secured exclusive distribution rights in Japan and will use its local subsidiary as the sales hub, supplying document parsing, e-signature and workflow-automation tools. PHISON will provide aiDAPTIV technology and on-premises computing infrastructure, while TPIsoftware will handle systems integration and solution design. The initial rollout targets Japanese financial institutions, manufacturers and public-sector organizations.
