U.S. Bank, CoBank and Rocket Showcase Generative AI Use Cases at AWS Event
The financial industry's focus on generative AI is shifting from model testing to customer service, knowledge retention and data integration in regulated environments. The cases presented by U.S. Bank, agricultural cooperative lender CoBank and mortgage company Rocket are significant because they show large financial institutions integrating AI into existing workflows while addressing data silos and governance issues.
The three companies outlined their progress at an AWS financial services symposium in New York on May 7, 2026. U.S. Bank is using Amazon Connect to link voice, email and text-message records for about 13 million consumers and 1.4 million businesses, sparing customers from having to repeat their information across departments. CoBank plans to create digital twins of employees due to retire within six months, while Rocket is integrating customer data. None of the companies disclosed investment amounts.
