Huang Hails Taiwan as Global AI Epicenter
NVIDIA’s AI supercomputers depend on a tightly integrated manufacturing network spanning chips, advanced packaging and server assembly. Chief Executive Jensen Huang said Taiwan’s value is no longer rooted in a reputation for low-cost production but in advanced technology and precision manufacturing. On July 21, 2026, Huang joined Wistron Chairman Simon Lin to open the company’s first U.S. manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, Texas. The $700 million, 324,000-square-foot D1 AI smart factory has begun mass-producing NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra systems in the United States and is slated to make Vera Rubin Superchips. Huang described the current buildout as the largest infrastructure expansion in the technology industry’s history, saying Taiwanese partners’ overseas investment is essential to meeting worldwide demand.
