Taishin Shin Kong Profit Jumps 329%, CEO Sees Higher Dividend
Taishin Shin Kong Financial Holding’s earnings are a key gauge of whether integration benefits are translating into stronger shareholder returns. The group relies on banking, life insurance and securities as its main profit engines, making sustained momentum across those businesses important to future earnings, capital deployment and dividend capacity following the combination.
Taishin Shin Kong Financial posted first-half 2026 net profit of NT$43.8 billion, up 329% from a year earlier, with earnings per share of NT$1.69. The company attributed the surge to robust performance at its banking, insurance and securities units, along with emerging merger synergies. President Welch Lin said the core businesses were progressing steadily and expressed confidence that the dividend paid in 2027 could exceed the 2026 payout.
