Binance Bitcoin Outflow Tops 9,000 BTC as Selling Pressure Eases

1 reports · First detected 2026-07-22 · Last active 2026-07-22

Bitcoin transfers from exchanges into self-custody reduce the supply immediately available for sale, making netflows a closely watched gauge of near-term pressure. Moves at Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, carry particular weight. CryptoQuant said the signal becomes more meaningful alongside inflows into US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds, which indicate institutional demand, though exchange outflows alone do not establish a new uptrend.

CryptoQuant said on July 22, 2026, that Binance recorded a net outflow of more than 9,000 BTC on July 21, including a reading of 9,030 BTC, the biggest one-day total since November 2024. Bitcoin was trading around $65,000 to $66,000, where buyers showed better absorption than during the prior weak phase, while US spot Bitcoin ETFs remained in net inflow. Analysts said confirmation would require stronger spot demand, trading volume and a more stable price structure.

Bitcoin Exchange Outflows Hit One-Year High at 32,000 BTC, Suggesting Heavy Whale Accumulationfirst seen 2026-03-06 · 2 reports · similarity 0.79 · same topic: Bitcoin

Bitcoin held on exchanges is generally viewed as a source of potential selling pressure, while transfers to holders’ self-custodied cold wallets typically indicate less willingness to sell in the short term. Onchain analyst Axel Adler Jr. said large net outflows often reflect accumulation by whales or institutions, making them an important indicator of market supply and price momentum.

On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, 31,900 BTC worth more than $2.2 billion left Bitcoin exchanges in a single day, the largest outflow in nearly a year. Holders’ conviction was described as strengthening even as BTC fell below $68,000. Adler said the anomalous withdrawals showed coins moving into cold wallets, potentially reducing selling pressure on exchanges.
