Visa Launches Subscription Management Tool for Banks
The growth of streaming, cloud and AI services has spread recurring payments across different merchants and cards. Visa expects the number of subscriptions worldwide to approach 12 billion by 2030. For banks, integrated subscription management can reduce unrecognized transactions, disputes and refund costs while strengthening primary customer relationships and card revenue.
Visa launched Enhanced Subscription Manager on March 26, 2026, partnering with Pinwheel to let customers view subscriptions, switch payment cards and cancel services from more than 150 merchants within their banking apps. The service is expected to become available first to North American issuers in summer 2026 before expanding to Latin America and the Caribbean. In a January 2025 survey of 500 U.S. consumers by Pinwheel, 75% said they expected banks to offer in-app bill management.
