Tether Overtakes Ether to Become Second-Largest Cryptocurrency

According to data cited in reports as of July 20, 2026, Ether fell below $1,510 and touched a new low for the year, pushing its total market capitalization below $185 billion. USDt had a market capitalization of about $186 billion, allowing it to overtake Ether as the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market value, behind only bitcoin.
