Shin Cheng Industrial Chairman Leads Generative AI, Agent Overhaul
Shin Cheng Industrial is treating generative AI as an operating model for manufacturing rather than a standalone productivity tool. Chairman Chen Yung-jui has personally championed the deployment of multiple AI agents across corporate strategy, marketing analysis, business-email screening and factory production management, using executive-led adoption to help embed the technology throughout the organization.
The company has also built a retrieval-augmented generation, or RAG, system to extract and reuse institutional knowledge from internal materials. Shin Cheng outlined a four-stage transformation framework that advances from individual augmentation to integrated workflows, with business processes converted into structured prompts. The approach is intended to make AI applications repeatable and scalable across both office operations and production lines.
