DoubleZero Expands Solana Decentralization Push as Ethereum Unveils 2029 Roadmap
DoubleZero, founded by a former Solana executive, draws on Wall Street's private-network model to reduce latency in cross-continental trading and address the concentration of validator resources. The initiative is important to fair trading in DeFi and Solana's global expansion. Ethereum is also advancing its scaling efforts as the two major blockchains compete to build faster, more decentralized infrastructure.
DoubleZero has launched the second phase of its initiative, delegating 2.4 million SOL to validators in the Asia-Pacific region and South America to broaden the global distribution of nodes and improve network performance. Separately, the Ethereum Foundation unveiled a long-term technical roadmap through 2029 that aims to sharply reduce transaction finality from the current wait to just seconds.
