Chunghwa Telecom Showcases AIDC Computing and Agentic AI for Smart Transportation at 2026 Kaohsiung Smart City Expo

Chunghwa Telecom is highlighting the use of artificial intelligence data center (AIDC) computing to support urban governance at the 2026 Kaohsiung Smart City Expo. By integrating digital twins with agentic AI, the company aims to move traffic management beyond real-time monitoring toward autonomous analysis and decision-making, with demonstrated potential to help local governments ease congestion, respond to accidents and optimize traffic signals.

The smart transportation system on display uses a vision-language model (VLM) to interpret complex road images and contextual information, while agentic AI generates management recommendations. Chunghwa Telecom is also working with the Kaohsiung City Government on the “AI Lighthouse Pilot Program.” Available information only states that the technology is being exhibited in 2026, without disclosing the exact date, investment amount or computing capacity.
