Univé Builds AI-Ready Workforce With ChatGPT Enterprise
Univé, one of the Netherlands’ largest cooperative insurers, serves millions of members across insurance, mortgages, financial services and risk prevention. As generative AI reshapes knowledge work, the company is treating ChatGPT Enterprise as an organization-wide transformation rather than a stand-alone IT rollout. Its approach combines management training, security and privacy controls, inherited data permissions and human accountability with employee-led experimentation, aiming to improve operations while keeping regulated decisions under professional oversight.
OpenAI said on July 31, 2026, that Univé had activated 97% of its ChatGPT Enterprise licenses, with 85% of licensed users active weekly and each active user averaging 40 prompts a week. Employees have built about 1,500 custom GPTs. In pet insurance, a Workspace Agent can prepare claim files for decision in minutes rather than hours, while trained claims staff retain final responsibility. Univé is also testing agents that organize underwriting queues across approved systems; financial terms were not disclosed.
