The history behind this eventStrong AI Demand Drives Yageo's May Revenue to Record High
Yageo is a major global supplier of passive components, including multilayer ceramic capacitors, or MLCCs, that are widely used in AI servers and data centers. Generative AI has boosted shipments of high-end computing equipment, increasing component volumes and driving specification upgrades. Yageo's revenue is therefore viewed as an important gauge of conditions across the AI hardware supply chain.
Yageo reported consolidated May revenue of NT$15.058 billion, up 47.5% from a year earlier. Revenue surpassed NT$15 billion for the first time and set a monthly record, while related reports said May profit rose 113% year on year. The company said demand for AI servers and related applications remained strong. It maintained a cautiously optimistic outlook but said it would continue to closely monitor geopolitical and market developments.
Yageo Posts Record First-Quarter Profit on AI Demand
Yageo is a leading global supplier of passive components, including resistors, capacitors and high-end specialty products widely used in servers, data centers and high-performance computing. Continued expansion in generative AI infrastructure is driving demand for advanced components, making AI business a key force behind the company’s improved product mix and higher earnings.
Yageo said on April 15, 2026, that first-quarter net profit attributable to owners of the parent reached NT$8.001 billion, up 18.5% from the previous quarter and 44.7% from a year earlier, marking a record for the period. After-tax earnings per share were NT$3.9. The company expects moderate growth in the second quarter. AI’s share of revenue rose to 13%–14% in the first quarter from 12%–13% in the fourth quarter of 2025 and could reach 15% by year-end.
Yageo's February Revenue Hits Record for Month on Strong AI Demand
Yageo is a major global supplier of passive components, including resistors, capacitors and inductors, that are widely used in servers, vehicles and consumer electronics. As AI server deployments expand, both the volume and specifications of high-end components are rising, making Yageo's revenue an important gauge of demand across the AI hardware supply chain.
Yageo reported consolidated February revenue of NT$11.505 billion, up 18% from a year earlier and the highest ever for the month. The company said customer orders for AI applications remained strong, offsetting fewer working days during the Lunar New Year holiday. It expects operations to remain stable in the first quarter.
Yageo Posts Record Second-Quarter Revenue as AI Share Rises to 16%
Yageo Corp., a major global supplier of passive electronic components, is benefiting from accelerating investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure. The expansion of AI servers and computing platforms is lifting demand for higher-value components, making AI-related products an increasingly important growth driver for the Taiwan-based company and strengthening its product mix across data-center applications.
Yageo reported record revenue and profit for the second quarter, with earnings per share reaching NT$4.59, an increase of 88.4% from a year earlier. AI-related products accounted for 16% of revenue as component demand from server and platform deployments expanded. The company maintained an optimistic outlook for the second half, supported by continued momentum in AI infrastructure spending.
AI Server Demand Lifts Yageo Sales to Record as Walsin Signals Price Hikes
The buildout of AI data centers is boosting demand for passive components including multilayer ceramic capacitors and resistors, helping suppliers emerge from an extended inventory correction. Taiwan’s Yageo Corp. and Walsin Technology Corp. are key manufacturers in this market, making their sales and pricing signals a gauge of server hardware spending. Tightening supply also matters for downstream electronics makers because component availability and higher input costs can affect production schedules and margins.
Yageo posted July 2026 revenue of NT$16.1 billion, a record, while Walsin Technology reported its highest monthly sales in nearly eight years. Both companies cited strong orders tied to AI applications and AI servers. As supply-demand conditions tighten and costs rise, manufacturers said price increases are unavoidable. The suppliers also plan to expand capacity and step up AI-related research and development spending to capture further growth.
Yageo Posts Sixth Straight Monthly Revenue Record on AI Demand
Yageo, a major global supplier of passive electronic components such as resistors and capacitors, is benefiting from the buildout of artificial-intelligence servers and data centers. Those systems require more sophisticated components and greater content per machine, supporting the company’s view that AI could drive a structural shift in the electronics-components industry rather than a short-lived inventory cycle.
Yageo reported consolidated revenue of NT$16.332 billion for August, up 51.8% from a year earlier and marking its sixth consecutive monthly record. The company said robust demand from AI-related applications and customers in Asia offset the seasonal impact of summer holidays in Europe and the United States. Citi reiterated its Buy rating and set a price target of NT$1,450, citing emerging benefits from Yageo’s price increases.
