Bitnomial Launches US-Regulated INJ Futures, Bolstering ETF Case

1 reports · First detected 2026-04-16 · Last active 2026-04-16

Injective is a Layer 1 blockchain designed for financial applications, combining an onchain order book with connectivity to networks including Ethereum and Solana. INJ is its native token. A US-regulated futures market matters because it broadens institutional access, strengthens price discovery and creates the trading history regulators may consider when reviewing a spot exchange-traded fund. Under the relevant SEC listing framework, a six-month regulated market record could help support ETF eligibility.

Chicago-based Bitnomial launched monthly INJ futures on April 15, 2026, marking the token’s first entry into the US-regulated derivatives market. The contracts settle in INJ and may be margined with cryptocurrency or US dollars through Bitnomial’s clearinghouse. Institutional clients received immediate access, while retail trading is expected within weeks. Canary Capital filed for a staked INJ ETF on July 17, 2025; Bitnomial disclosed no launch volume or dollar value and plans to add perpetual futures and options.
