Former Tesla Cybersecurity Expert Launches AI Security Startup Pi, With xAI Among Early Customers
Pi was co-founded in 2025 by Yoni Ramon, the former head of Tesla’s hacking team, and Guy Arazi, a former Microsoft security researcher, to address increasingly complex vulnerabilities in corporate code and cloud systems. Its AI “security brain” combines historical security incidents, policies, code and internal communications to automatically prioritize remediation, underscoring the shift toward agentic automation in cybersecurity management.
Pi formally emerged from stealth on June 10, 2026, and announced a $25 million Series A round. Together with a $10 million seed round in early 2025, the company has raised $35 million at a $100 million valuation. Third Point Ventures led the latest round, and Forbes cited sources as saying Elon Musk’s xAI was among Pi’s early customers.
