Pelosi's Intel and Uber Call Option Purchases Draw Market Attention
Stock and options trades by the family of former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat, have long faced market scrutiny because members of Congress may have access to policy information. Intel shares have risen this year on demand for AI chips. The wagers are attracting particular attention because Pelosi is preparing to leave office and will no longer face the same trading disclosure requirements.
Pelosi disclosed to the Clerk of the US House of Representatives on June 23, 2026, that her husband, Paul, had purchased 200 call option contracts each in Intel and Uber on May 29. Both had a $50 strike price and expire on March 19, 2027. The Intel position was valued at $1,000,001 to $5 million, while the Uber position was valued at $500,001 to $1 million.
