Robinhood Chain Overtakes Ethereum, Base in Fee Revenue
Robinhood Markets launched Robinhood Chain on July 1, 2026, positioning the Ethereum layer-2 network as infrastructure for tokenized stocks and other real-world assets. Built with Arbitrum Orbit and settled on Ethereum, the chain gives the retail broker a direct route for moving customers and financial products onchain. Its rapid take-up also shows how speculative memecoin activity can supply liquidity and traffic before tokenized securities reach broader scale.
Data cited on Aug. 31 showed Robinhood Chain generated $495,477 in chain revenue over the previous day, versus $71,703 for Base and $25,746 for Ethereum. Its 30-day revenue reached $3.13 million, ahead of Base’s $2.89 million and Ethereum’s $2.47 million. Applications on the network earned $1.84 million in 24 hours, while total value locked rose to $727.15 million and decentralized-exchange volume hit $1.19 billion.
