Nvidia Expands GeForce Now With Steam Hardware Support, DLSS 4.5
Nvidia’s GeForce Now runs games on remote servers and streams them to users’ devices, reducing the need for high-end local graphics hardware. Deeper compatibility with Valve’s Steam ecosystem could extend the service to more living-room and cross-device gaming setups. The move also strengthens Nvidia’s cloud-gaming strategy by pairing broader hardware access with its proprietary AI-powered graphics technology.
Nvidia said GeForce Now will add official support for Valve’s Steam Controller and Steam Machine later in 2026, though it did not provide a specific launch date. The service will also adopt DLSS 4.5 capabilities, including deep-learning super resolution and dynamic frame generation. Those upgrades are intended to improve image quality and frame rates while making more efficient use of cloud-computing resources.
