Chunghwa Telecom Retains Top AAA MSCI ESG Rating

Chunghwa Telecom has long incorporated environmental, social and corporate governance considerations into its operations. MSCI ESG Ratings, ranging from CCC to AAA, are an important gauge used by international investors to assess how companies manage sustainability risks. Because telecommunications companies depend heavily on personal-data protection and ethical governance, investors in Taiwan and abroad often consider the ratings in their decisions.

Chunghwa Telecom again received MSCI’s highest ESG rating of AAA in 2026 and ranked among the global telecommunications industry leaders in data security and business ethics. The rating did not involve any investment or transaction amount, but indicated that the company’s cybersecurity controls, governance systems and management of sustainability risks continued to earn international recognition.
