Bitcoin Pizza Day commemorates May 22, 2010, when programmer Laszlo Hanyecz bought two pizzas for 10,000 Bitcoin in what is widely regarded as the first cryptocurrency transaction for physical goods. On May 22, 2026, Bitget launched its global “Flip the Slice” campaign, featuring The Infinite Flip music video, in-person activities and a Pizza Box Resume Delivery initiative. The campaign spanned seven regions and 20 cities, drawing more than 1,300 participants for pizza-making sessions, street pop-ups and industry partnership events.
