Crypto Broker FalconX Reportedly in IPO Talks With Cantor and Other Banks

2 reports · First detected 2026-03-20 · Last active 2026-05-29

Founded in 2018, FalconX provides trading, liquidity, credit and clearing services to hedge funds, asset managers and market makers. The company raised $150 million in a Series D funding round in June 2022 at an $8 billion valuation and acquired crypto asset manager 21Shares in October 2025, expanding its institutional business.

Reports on May 28, 2026, said FalconX had confidentially submitted a draft S-1 filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and hired investment banks including Cantor Fitzgerald to prepare for an IPO. Cantor had been pitching for an advisory role as early as March that year. Crypto-market volatility and weaker trading volumes could push a listing to late 2026 at the earliest. Neither FalconX nor Cantor commented publicly.
