OpenPayd Integrates Circle Network for Near-Instant Cross-Border Fiat Settlement
Cross-border business payments have traditionally relied on correspondent banks, local clearing systems and limited banking hours, often leaving funds in transit for days. Financial infrastructure platform OpenPayd is connecting to Circle Payment Network, or CPN, to combine conventional fiat payment rails with stablecoin-based settlement. The integration is designed to give companies a simpler route to move money internationally while reducing the operational friction of connecting separately to multiple banking and payment networks.
OpenPayd said its CPN integration will allow businesses to access domestic payment systems, international banking networks and stablecoin infrastructure through a single connection, enabling near-instant cross-border fiat payments and settlement. Circle reported that CPN had reached $14.7 billion in annualized transaction volume by the end of the second quarter. The figure signals growing institutional use of blockchain-based settlement infrastructure for payments that begin and end in government-issued currencies.
