Far EasTone Shares Top NT$100 for First Time as AI Push and Merger Synergies Drive Growth
Far EasTone Telecommunications formally merged with Asia Pacific Telecom on December 1, 2023, reducing operating costs by consolidating base stations, spectrum and retail channels while expanding its subscriber base. The company has also deployed AI across network operations and maintenance, customer service and enterprise solutions, combining its core telecom business with digital services to create a new growth driver that has drawn market attention.
Far EasTone shares crossed NT$100 for the first time on the day of the report, reaching an intraday high of NT$100.5 and setting a record since the company’s listing. The company said synergies from the Asia Pacific Telecom acquisition were gradually being reflected in its financial performance, while AI applications would become its next growth engine and were expected to support continued revenue and profit growth in 2025.
