Ramp Opens Stablecoin Accounts and Payments to Businesses

1 reports · First detected 2026-07-22 · Last active 2026-07-22

Ramp is a financial operations platform serving more than 70,000 organizations and processing over $200 billion in annual purchases. Stablecoins offer round-the-clock settlement, giving finance teams an alternative to cross-border bank wires that can take three to five business days. The launch matters because Ramp is embedding blockchain-based money into the same controls companies already use for cards, bills, approvals and accounting, reducing the need for separate crypto systems and manual reconciliation.

On July 21, 2026, Ramp opened stablecoin accounts and payments to business clients, supporting USDC and USDT across seven networks: Base, Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Solana and Tempo. Stripe’s Bridge provides custody and conversion infrastructure, while customers can fund stablecoin payments from bank accounts and settle transfers in minutes, 24/7. Ramp said more than 1,000 businesses already use stablecoins to pay vendors on its platform, with over 70% of that volume moving outside traditional banking hours; eligible balances can earn rewards of up to 3.25%.
