Obin AI Raises $7 Million to Develop AI Agent Tools for Financial Institutions
Lending, underwriting and investment monitoring directly affect capital allocation and risk pricing in the financial industry. Even if AI achieves 95% accuracy, a single error can still cause significant losses. Founded by former senior executives from JPMorgan and Google Cloud AI, Obin AI is developing auditable, traceable and regulatory-compliant AI agents to help professionals make high-risk decisions.
On March 19, 2026, Obin AI emerged from stealth and announced a $7 million seed round led by Motive Partners, with participation from Fei-Fei Li and Lukasz Kaiser. The company said on March 23 that its platform can handle underwriting, claims and portfolio monitoring end to end. Its clients manage more than $1 trillion in assets and include one of the five largest U.S. banks.
