Ecommpay Launches QR Code Payments
Ecommpay, a global payments platform serving merchants, has added QR code payments to its collection toolkit, allowing customers to complete transactions by scanning with a mobile device. The format is particularly suited to low-friction, one-off payments such as tips and donations. It also gives merchants another digital acceptance channel without relying on a conventional card terminal or fixed checkout flow, broadening the platform’s payment ecosystem.
Ecommpay has formally rolled out the feature, positioning it as a more flexible way for merchants to collect tips, donations and other one-time payments. The announcement did not specify an exact launch date, supported markets, transaction fees or payment limits, and disclosed no monetary targets. Adoption will hinge on merchant integration, customer familiarity with scanning QR codes and the service’s availability across Ecommpay’s operating footprint.
