Fidelity-Linked Wallets Move 260,000 Ether to New Addresses
Fidelity, one of the world’s largest asset managers and an issuer of a U.S. spot Ether exchange-traded fund, draws close scrutiny when wallets linked to the firm make large blockchain transfers. Such movements may reflect custody operations, fund administration or internal treasury management, though public ledger data alone cannot establish ownership, intent or whether the assets are being prepared for sale.
On-chain data showed a Fidelity-linked wallet transferring about 260,000 Ether, worth nearly $500 million at the time, in transactions split among three newer addresses. The recipient wallets were funded by Fidelity roughly six months earlier, according to the report. The exact transfer date was not disclosed, and there was no evidence cited that the Ether had reached an exchange or was slated for liquidation.
