DCG-Backed Yuma Launches Fund Offering Institutional Exposure to Bittensor

1 reports · First detected 2026-06-28 · Last active 2026-06-28

Bittensor is a decentralized network that rewards contributors of AI models, computing resources and applications with its native TAO token. Its subnets span computing, marketplaces and identity services. Yuma, backed by Digital Currency Group (DCG), established an asset-management division in October 2025 and received a $10 million investment from DCG, aiming to lower the technical and administrative barriers institutions face when allocating capital to subnet tokens.

Yuma launched the Yuma Total Market Fund on June 25, 2026, offering exposure to TAO and multiple AI subnet tokens through a single fund. Initial capital came from an unnamed cornerstone investor, and the amount was not disclosed. Yuma said Bittensor’s 128 subnets had a combined value of more than $900 million, while Taostats estimated the figure at about $300 million. TAO’s market capitalization was close to $2.4 billion when the report was published.
