Payments Processor Elavon Names Wally Mlynarski as CEO
Elavon is a wholly owned U.S. Bank subsidiary and global payments processor serving more than 2 million customers across the United States, Europe and Canada. It processes more than $576 billion in transactions annually. As the fifth-largest U.S. acquirer by Visa and Mastercard volume, its leadership transition is central to its parent company's competitive strategy in merchant acquiring, embedded payments and AI applications.
U.S. Bank announced on March 18, 2026, that Wally Mlynarski would become Elavon's CEO, succeeding Jamie Walker, who had led the company since 2017. Walker will take charge of a newly created digital assets and money movement division. Mlynarski most recently led merchant services and receivables at Bank of America and previously spent seven years at U.S. Bank.
