Eric Trump Leaves Crypto Firm Holding World Liberty Tokens
ALT5 Sigma Corp. is a Nasdaq-listed digital-asset payments company that raised $1.5 billion in 2025 to build a treasury of World Liberty Financial's WLFI tokens. Eric Trump served as a strategic adviser and board observer. The arrangement directly linked the Trump family's crypto venture to a public company's balance sheet, raising conflict-of-interest concerns and risks for investors.
Eric Trump was still listed on the company's website in March 2026 but had been removed by the end of April. The company changed its name to AI Financial Corporation on April 28 and began trading under the ticker AIFC on April 29. His name was also absent from amended SEC filings. Disclosures on May 19 showed that the company held 7.28 billion WLFI tokens, acquired for $1.46 billion but valued at just $706 million, and warned that its ability to continue as a going concern over the next year was in doubt.
