AI Helps New York Renter Build Stoop Without Writing Code

Vibe coding allows users to describe a product in natural language and have platforms such as Lovable, Replit and StackBlitz’s Bolt produce working, exportable software. The approach matters because it shifts software creation beyond engineering teams, cutting development from months of coding to hours of prompting and making niche tools viable even when the potential market is too small to attract venture capital.

PYMNTS reported on July 23, 2026, that New York renter Maggie Gao said in a June post on X she used Lovable to create Stoop, a free platform, without writing code by hand. Stoop combines more than 10 million lines of public data, allowing renters across New York City’s five boroughs to check rent-stabilization records, pest and mold complaints, and management-company patterns. OpenAI separately said Codex has more than 5 million weekly users, including over 1 million who use it for work outside software development.
