Klarna CEO Buys $10 Million of Company Stock
Klarna is a major provider of buy now, pay later services, allowing shoppers to split purchases into installments while merchants receive payment upfront. A chief executive’s purchase of company stock is often read as a signal of confidence in the business and its valuation, though insider buying does not guarantee stronger operating results or share-price gains.
Chief Executive Sebastian Siemiatkowski recently bought 692,506 Klarna shares for $10 million, implying an average purchase price of about $14.44 a share. The insider transaction was disclosed to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in a Form 4 filing, the document corporate insiders use to report changes in their ownership of a company’s securities.
