Tieto, Siirto Team Up to Streamline Finnish E-Invoicing

Finland has a mature digital-billing market, but invoice delivery and payment can still involve separate systems and added steps for businesses and consumers. IT services provider Tieto is partnering with Siirto, a Finnish real-time payments platform with more than 1 million users, to connect those processes more closely. The initiative is aimed at making electronic bills easier to receive and pay while helping companies improve collection efficiency.

Tieto and Siirto said they will combine their capabilities in e-invoicing, digital services and instant payments to improve the billing experience in Finland. Siirto’s user base of more than 1 million provides an established channel through which the partners can bring a smoother payment flow to consumers and businesses. The companies did not disclose the value of the agreement, a launch date or the names of initial corporate customers.
