XRP Faces Downside Risk Despite Nine-Day ETF Inflow Streak

2 reports · First detected 2026-04-24 · Last active 2026-05-20

XRP is the native token of the Ripple ecosystem, while the XRP/BTC pair measures its strength relative to Bitcoin. Cointelegraph reported on April 24 that the pair had broken below a descending triangle formed in late 2024 and fallen about 5% in one week. The pattern pointed to a target of 0.000011 BTC, implying a potential decline of 40.5%.

By May 19, the risk had spread to XRP’s U.S. dollar price. XRP fell 12% over five days, while a bear flag on the three-day chart broke below $1.40, indicating a technical target of $0.65 and a potential decline of 52.5%. SoSoValue data showed U.S. spot XRP ETFs drew net inflows of $750,000 on May 18, bringing their nine-day total to $95.5 million and cumulative inflows to nearly $1.4 billion. Assets under management stood at $1.14 billion.

Ripple-Linked XRP Falls to Four-Month Low2026-06-08 · 3 reports · similarity 0.80

XRP is a crypto asset closely associated with Ripple’s cross-border payments business, and its price is often viewed as a gauge of institutional demand and regulatory expectations. A supply of 100 billion XRP was created at the network’s genesis in 2012. Yet the token has failed to strengthen despite continued inflows into investment products and declining exchange balances, suggesting technical pressures and risk aversion are outweighing favorable supply dynamics.

On June 4, XRP plunged 7% from $1.2360 to $1.1497, breaking below $1.25, before falling further to $1.09 on June 5. It rebounded 1.6% to about $1.14 on June 8. ETFs attracted $118 million in May, taking cumulative inflows to nearly $1.4 billion, while more than 25 million XRP were moved off exchanges.
