Félix Raises $200 Million to Expand Beyond Remittances
Founded in 2020 by Manuel Godoy and Bernardo García, Miami-based Félix built its business by allowing Latino immigrants in the US to send money through a WhatsApp chatbot using text or voice instructions. The company uses Circle’s USDC behind the scenes to reduce cross-border settlement costs. Its planned move into savings and lending is significant because it would turn a remittance service into a broader financial platform for customers often underserved by traditional US banks.
Félix said on Sept. 1, 2026, that it secured $200 million in new financing, comprising an $87 million Series C equity round led by Andreessen Horowitz and a $113 million credit facility from General Catalyst. QED Investors, Castle Island Ventures, Switch Ventures, Contour Venture Partners and Endeavor Catalyst also participated. Félix says it has processed more than $8 billion for over 6 million people across 11 Latin American markets and plans to add savings, lending and an AI-powered “Cognitive Financial Companion.”
