South Korean Brokerages Raise Samsung, SK Hynix Targets as Samsung's 2027 Profit Is Forecast to Surpass Nvidia's

2 reports · First detected 2026-04-08 · Last active 2026-05-07

Rising demand for AI servers and high-bandwidth memory, or HBM, is transforming memory from a highly cyclical component into a core driver of AI performance and costs. Technology companies are also negotiating three- to five-year supply contracts, improving earnings visibility for Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix and creating room for a valuation rerating.

On May 7, 2026, SK Securities raised its target prices for Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix to 500,000 won and 3 million won, respectively. It estimated their 2027 operating profits at 49.4 trillion won and 37.6 trillion won. In April, KB Securities forecast Samsung's 2027 operating profit at 488 trillion won, slightly above Nvidia's 485 trillion won.

KB Securities Raises SK Hynix Price Target to 1.9 Million Won on Strong AI Demand2026-04-14 · 1 reports · similarity 0.82

SK Hynix is a leading global supplier of DRAM and NAND memory and a major producer of high-bandwidth memory for AI servers. As investment in generative AI infrastructure expands, rising purchases of servers and enterprise SSDs have made memory prices a key driver of the company’s earnings and share price.

KB Securities raised its price target for SK Hynix to 1.9 million won in its latest report and forecast that the company’s operating profit could reach 40 trillion won in the first quarter of 2026, far above market expectations. The report said demand from AI servers and enterprise SSDs was driving sharp increases in DRAM and NAND prices, with that momentum expected to continue supporting the business.
