Ebury Becomes Real Betis’ Official Transfer Partner

1 reports · First detected 2026-07-23 · Last active 2026-07-23

Ebury, a global fintech majority-owned by Banco Santander, specialises in cross-border payments and foreign-exchange risk management. Real Betis Balompié, founded in 1907 and based in Seville, competes in Spain’s LaLiga. The partnership reflects football clubs’ growing need to move money internationally for player transfers, commercial rights and sponsorships while managing multi-currency treasury operations and exposure to exchange-rate swings.

The companies announced the agreement on July 23, 2026, naming Ebury as Real Betis’ Official Transfer Partner for two seasons. The contract runs from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2028, and was signed in Seville by Ebury Spain General Manager Luis Merino and Real Betis CEO Ramón Alarcón. Ebury will support international operations, multi-currency payments and FX hedging, while gaining visibility across the club’s digital and physical channels. Financial terms were not disclosed.
