PCB Equipment Maker UTECHZONE Rebounds on AI Demand and Semiconductor Push

1 reports · First detected 2026-07-13 · Last active 2026-07-13

UTECHZONE is a Taiwanese maker of inspection equipment for the semiconductor and printed circuit board industries. It has emerged as a supply-chain focus as the AI boom drives upgrades in substrate technology. Seeking to move beyond the constraints of its traditional business, UTECHZONE joined the Daxin II semiconductor holding alliance led by Gudeng Precision Industrial and has aggressively expanded into wafer inspection. The strategy has enabled the company to enter the high-barrier market for advanced semiconductor process equipment, marking an important step toward higher long-term gross margins and a stronger industry position.

UTECHZONE’s revenue exceeded NT$600 million in the first quarter of 2026, while after-tax earnings per share reached NT$1.63, surpassing its result for all of 2025. In late June, the company signed a technology-licensing agreement with U.S.-based Brooks Automation to pursue the advanced-packaging and memory markets. Fueled by the two developments, UTECHZONE shares rebounded more than 150% in five months and hit a record high closing in on NT$200 in early July.
