XRP Ledger Upgrade Wins Support From Most Validators
The XRP Ledger is rolling out its v3.2.0 software upgrade to reduce validators’ operating costs and strengthen network stability. Because XRPL relies on a distributed group of validators to confirm transactions, inconsistent version adoption could create node compatibility and security risks. The pace of the upgrade is therefore critical to the ledger’s overall operation.
At the time of reporting, about 89% of XRP Ledger validators had upgraded to v3.2.0, and most validators had also voted in favor of the new version. However, network-wide adoption of the fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment, which includes several security fixes, was still lagging. Validators that fail to update promptly could later be isolated by the system because of version incompatibility.

The history behind this eventXRP Ledger to Activate fixCleanup3_1_3 Upgrade, Clearing Expired NFT Offers and Patching Critical Bugs
The XRP Ledger (XRPL) is a layer-1 blockchain supporting XRP cross-border payments, NFTs and decentralized finance applications. Expired NFT offers that remain on the ledger add to storage demands. Failure to properly update permissioned domains, trust-line withdrawal limits and loan records could also affect the consistency of asset restrictions and accounting data.
XRPL is scheduled to activate the fixCleanup3_1_3 amendment on May 27, 2026. It will automatically remove expired NFT offers and patch vulnerabilities involving Permissioned Domains, trust-line withdrawal limits and LoanBroker loan accounting. Validators and node operators must update their software beforehand or fall out of sync with the network. XRP traded at about $1.30–$1.40 ahead of the upgrade.
