AI Token Boom and Grok Edge Lift SpaceX Shares
Demand for computing tokens is accelerating as generative AI services expand, increasing the need for infrastructure capable of running large models at scale. Elon Musk is positioning SpaceX as an AI compute supplier, while the competitive per-token economics of Grok 4.6 have strengthened expectations that the company’s growth could extend beyond its established rocket-launch and satellite businesses.
Musk recently said demand for AI tokens was growing rapidly. SpaceX’s rollout of Grok 4.6 and acquisition of AI startup Cursor further boosted investor confidence in its computing capacity and business outlook. Shares climbed more than 4% despite an approaching lockup expiration for early holdings, which could increase available supply and create selling pressure.
