Cathay Financial Expands High-Net-Worth Push With BlackRock Platform

1 reports · First detected 2026-07-24 · Last active 2026-07-24

Taiwan’s Asian Asset Management Center initiative is designed to deepen the island’s wealth-management market and retain more capital onshore. Cathay Financial Holding is responding by combining the capabilities of Cathay Life Insurance, Cathay United Bank and Cathay Securities into a one-stop asset-management platform, using group-wide distribution and technology to expand services for high-net-worth clients.

Marking the initiative’s first anniversary in July 2026, Cathay Financial said Cathay United Bank had deployed BlackRock’s Aladdin Wealth platform and attracted more than 1,000 high-net-worth clients. The bank’s wealth-management assets have exceeded NT$100 billion, while premiums generated by Cathay Life’s high-net-worth customer segment have topped NT$3 billion, highlighting the group’s early progress in Taiwan’s expanding private-wealth market.
